Instrucciones:

Para mecanografía BASICA:

La Liebre y la Tortuga

Una vez, una liebre muy veloz se jactaba de su rapidez ante todos los animales del bosque. Se burlaba de la tortuga, diciendo que era lenta y torpe.

–¡Yo podría dar mil vueltas a este bosque mientras tú te arrastras unos pocos metros! –exclamaba la liebre, llena de orgullo.

La tortuga, cansada de las burlas de la liebre, aceptó el reto de una carrera. Todos los animales del bosque se reunieron para presenciar la competencia.

A la señal de inicio, la liebre salió disparada como un rayo, dejando atrás a la tortuga sin el menor esfuerzo. Convencida de su victoria, la liebre decidió descansar un rato bajo la sombra de un árbol, mientras esperaba a que la tortuga llegara.

Mientras tanto, la tortuga, paso a paso, sin detenerse ni un instante, seguía avanzando con constancia.

Cuando la liebre despertó, se dio cuenta de que la tortuga ya estaba cerca de la meta. Corrió con todas sus fuerzas, pero fue demasiado tarde. La tortuga cruzó la línea de llegada primero, ante la sorpresa de todos.

Moraleja: La constancia y la perseverancia siempre vencen a la rapidez y la arrogancia.

The Fox and the Grapes

A hungry fox was walking through the vineyard when he saw bunches of ripe, purple grapes hanging from a vine. The grapes looked so delicious that the fox's mouth watered. He jumped and he leaped, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't reach the grapes.

Finally, exhausted and defeated, the fox turned away and walked off. As he walked, he muttered to himself, "Those grapes are probably sour anyway. I don't want them."

Moral of the story: It's easy to belittle what you cannot have.
